SPRAYER TESTING

Sprayer Testing
Not only is there a benefit to carrying out sprayer testing by conforming with the Sustainable Use Directive and Assurance Schemes, but this will result in maximum sprayer efficiency and minimal downtime. Furthermore this will abolish over application, resulting in cost savings.

Does my sprayer need testing?
The SUD requires that all pesticide application equipment is tested on a regular basis. More information is available here

What does the test consist of?
The test contains 40 checks, the first 30 checks are pass/fail items the remaining 10 are cautionary items. They consist of pressure checks, nozzle output checks to leaking booms.

Where is the test conducted?
Our qualified NSTS tester will come to your farm to complete the test or at any convenient location, provided there is provision for sprayed-out water to be disposed of within the Groundwater Framework.

Can I prepare my sprayer for the test?
There is an operator check list available here - Operator Check Sheet. We advise you to use this to detect any faults prior to you booking the sprayer in, this may cut down any costs on repairs.

Do you have any parts?
We can supply many Sprayer Parts from nozzles to pressure gauges.

There are 3 NRoSO points available for operators under the Voluntary Initiative, providing they stay and watch the test being conducted.
